Was listening to NPR this morning and the story of whooping cranes - by World War II there were only 4 females left. Today there is a flock of just over 200 birds and they hope this next year it will grow to over 250. It's great to hear success stories. Unfortunately this last year saw the extinction of several species and just in the last few days the fungus which devestated much of the frog population here in the United States has been found in Asia.

This frog item is a polystone sculpture from Fun World, a division of Easter Unlimited. This is called Cuddlin' Couple. It is style number 6114. I do not have a date for this item.
