My book

Things have been really hectic here at Frog Central. I've been working night and day on a genealogy book and it's really coming together. The 1940 census is due to be released in a couple of days and there will be some pretty hectic days ahead. So I think that things here will go on hiatus for a bit - not forever - but things will be even more sporadic than usual. Thanks for sticking with me and there are a lot of frogs to look back on and enjoy. In the meantime - new ones are piling up next to me at the desk and so when this book is finished, we'll have a good old time.

Time change and spring cleaning

Have you gotten used to the time change yet? I haven't - I find myself waking up around 9 a.m.!! That puts me so far behind from the start. Today I spent the day doing some spring cleaning. You might think it's a bit early, but I actually had my air conditioner on for a couple of hours today - it was over 80 degrees in the house! The temps outside were hovering right around 80 - in March! I just can't believe this weather and I really worry what that means for the rest of the summer - something tells me it's going to be a very, very hot one.

Frog of the Day

I spent yesterday taking a whole bunch of photos, but it was a dark and dreary day, so nothing really came out well. Not that today's really came out well.....lol! Today it's bright and sunny yet a bit cool. My daffodils are all in blossom - way ahead of schedule. And my day lilies are almost knee high. This has been a very strange non-winter to be sure.

This frog collectible is from Avon and is their frog bank. The top has a counter that will count your coins as you drop them in and keep a running total. Pretty neat! I received this January 2012 from my mom - The Avon Lady!

It's been a while but everything seems to be in working order now - let's hope it continues! Spring has broken out here at Frog Central. Temps are hitting into the 60's almost every day. Can I yell hurray!

This frog item is from Firefly Books and is a Frogs 2011 calender. The front photo is a Leaf Frog. This one was photographed in the rain forest of Ecuador by Pete Oxford. This was the calender hanging next to my desk and when I took it down in January I realized I had not put it up here - so her it is. I received this December 2010.

Like a recurrent nightmare

I'm back! lol

I've had major blogger issues but finally everything seems to be working! I have quite a few frogs to put up - so tomorrow we should be back in the groove.....
