Frog of the Day

Too much merriment around the pond last night has led to a late morning here at Frog Central. Those frogs sure know how to get a party hopping!

This collectible is from Boyds Bears & Friends. It is from their Wee Folkstone Collection's Ribbit & Co. and is called Princess Puckerup . . . Kiss Me Quick! She holds in her hands a little prince and the sign next to her says "You have to kiss a lot of Princes before you get a Frog." These figurines have so much detail on them. The frog is sitting on a little log that has a heart carved in it and the saying Love Croaks. The piece is style number 36707. This is a limited edition piece. This one is edition number 2E and piece number 258.

Frog of the Day

Hope that everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day. It is the unofficial beginning of summer and what better to do than go fishing.

This frog couple from Lee and Lee are heading back from the pond by the looks. He has a fish in his basket and another on his pole. Her basket has some lovely wildflowers but a bee has found its way into her straw hat! A cute pair to add to the collection.

I love the lazy pace of Sunday. Sleep in a bit, then put on your straw hat and go down by he pond fishing. Just have to make sure you bring the right flies for bait!

This cute frog is another homemade frog that was given to me. He's just adorable with his vest, bowtie and straw hat. And there's a fly peeking over the edge of the hat - he better watch out or he'll be lunch!

This is another piece of the Frog Kingdom set. It is the Queen. She sits atop a lilypad carriage whose wheels do turn. The carriage is pulled by two snails that are being ridden by ladybug guards with sunflower seed shields. Such detail went into these pieces!

Frog of the Day

Today's froggy makes me feel like the performer Bill Engvall - Here's your sign! Think they'll let me on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour?

This sign is from the catalog Armchair Shopper and is called Toadally Welcome. The nice thing about this sign is that you can hang it up as is, or you can use it as a picture frame and slip your own photo ito it. But who would want to cover up the mug of that beautiful frog?
